Miltrade invested in its own building facility with total floor space of more than 20,000 sqft (2,000 sqm) spread over 4 levels with each floor customized to meet the needs of its operations.
The ground floor is designed for heavy engineering work. It has a high ceiling (8m) allowing expansion for overhead crane system and a large roller shutter door system giving this space for work on large systems with payload exceeding 30 tons, 30m in span and 3m in height. The ground floor loading is 36KN/m2. Electricity loading capacity is 600Amperes (3 phases). The purpose built control center is housed on the mezzanine floor for the service team overseeing the entire operation on this level.
The second floor of this facility is designed for work and operation that requires a clean environment. The floor is treated with anti-static epoxy treatment catering for repair, manufacturing and testing of electronic assemblies for avionics, RF components, flat panel displays, thermal imaging cameras and specialized products. In addition to 220-240VAC, the entire floor is equipped with 3-phase 115V 400Hz power supply to cater for shipborne and airborne systems. It has purpose-built rooms for avionics repair, calibration and testing, conformal coating, production and assembly lines, design and integration laboratory, technical library and a secured store for high value components.
Third floor houses the main operation control and support center for the whole group.
A fourth level is the highest level of the facility which is converted into a calibration and testing deck for our optronic systems such as the thermal imagers and high precision navigation systems such as our line of professional GPS (Differential GPS). We have configured a set up on this level to be a Reference Station transmitting tri constellation corrections, namely GPS, GLONASS and SBAS for users who require high precision positioning error corrections.
